The Reality
Planning an event and dreading the food part?
These are the situations we help Grand Rapids customers solve every week.
- →The caterer quoted a per-plate price that doubled once you added staffing and rentals
- →Your venue has no kitchen and the last food truck you called never answered
- →Half your guests are vegetarian and the buffet menu ignored them entirely
- →You need the line to move fast because the ceremony starts at six
- →Last year's office lunch was cold sandwiches in a cardboard box, again
Our Services
How we serve you.
Service · 01
Private Event Catering
Weddings, receptions, graduations, and birthdays. We arrive early, set up, and serve from the truck window or a plated line depending on your space. A tasting is part of booking any event over fifty guests.
Service · 02
Corporate Lunch Service
We park at your building and feed your team on a schedule that fits their break. Prepaid company accounts or pay-at-the-window, whichever your office prefers. Standing weekly slots available for regular clients.
Service · 03
Brewery and Taproom Nights
Rotating nights at taprooms across Grand Rapids, Wyoming, and Ada. The menu is built to pair with what is on tap and posted on our schedule page each Monday.
Service · 04
Festival and Market Vending
Fully permitted for Kent County festivals, farmers markets, and street fairs, with our own power and water. Organizers get our license packet, certificate of insurance, and fire inspection on request.
Service · 05
Seasonal and Custom Menus
A short menu we cook well beats a long one we cook adequately. We build a custom set of four to six items for your event, and we can cover vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free without turning them into an afterthought.
Service · 06
Drop-Off Catering
For groups too small for the truck, we deliver hot trays with serving utensils and setup. Ordered by the day before, delivered within the hour you choose.
The Difference
Why West Michigan books Copper Griddle.
A Chef Runs the Window
Alicia cooks every event herself. There is no rotating crew of temps who have never seen the menu, which is why the tenth plate looks like the first one.
We Answer and We Show Up
Calls and messages get a same-day answer, contracts are signed before we hold a date, and we arrive with time to spare. Ask any event planner what their biggest food truck complaint is and it is one of those three.
Permitted, Inspected, Insured
Kent County mobile food license, ServSafe certified kitchen staff, current fire suppression inspection, and general liability coverage. Venue coordinators get the whole packet in one email.
The Line Actually Moves
Menus for large events are engineered for throughput, with prep done at our commissary the night before. A hundred and fifty guests can be served in well under two hours without anyone eating cold food.
Common Questions
You probably want to know.
How much does it cost to book the truck?+
Private events start at a $950 minimum for up to fifty guests, which covers the truck, staff, and a set menu of four items. Larger events are quoted per guest after we talk through the menu, usually $18 to $28 a head. Travel beyond thirty miles of Grand Rapids adds a fee we quote up front. Deposits are half at booking, balance due the week of the event.
What do you need from our venue?+
A flat, firm spot roughly thirty feet long with clearance to open the service window, and permission from the property owner. We carry our own generator, water, and hand-wash station, so no hookups are required. If the venue is a park, a campus, or a downtown street, tell us early because those often need a permit that has to be filed days in advance.
Can you handle dietary restrictions?+
Yes, and we would rather build them into the menu than improvise on the day. Vegetarian and vegan options are standard, gluten-free is straightforward for most of our menu, and we can work around common allergens if we know before the tasting. What we cannot do is promise a dedicated allergen-free cooking surface on a truck this size, so severe allergies get an honest conversation first.
How far in advance should we book?+
Summer Saturdays fill four to six months out, and wedding season fills first. Corporate lunches and weekday events can often be arranged in a couple of weeks. If your date is soft, tell us the range and we will show you what is open. We hold a date only when the deposit and signed agreement are in, since we have lost too many Saturdays to verbal holds.
Do you serve in the winter?+
We do. The truck is insulated and heated, and we run through Michigan winters for indoor venue events, corporate lunches, and holiday parties. What changes is setup: in deep cold we ask for a spot closer to the door and shorten the outdoor line. Some festivals and market stops go on hiatus from December, and our schedule page shows what is running each week.
Tell us the date and the headcount.
We will check the calendar, talk through a menu, and send a written quote with everything included. Tastings for events over fifty guests.
