How much does a broken spring cost to replace?+
Most residential torsion-spring replacements in Indy run $260–$420 depending on door weight (single vs. double, insulated vs. non-insulated). That includes the spring, labor, balance adjustment, and a 7-year warranty. We always replace springs in pairs on double-spring doors — explained on the truck.
Is it safe to use my garage door with a broken spring?+
No. The spring is what counterbalances the door’s 150–250 lb weight — without it, the opener (or your back) is lifting the full weight, and components fail fast. Don’t force it. We’ll be there same-day.
Do I need a new door or can you repair mine?+
Probably repair. Doors are usually salvageable for 20+ years if the springs, cables, rollers, and opener are kept up. The exception is hard impact damage to the bottom two panels or rotted wood-stile doors. We’ll tell you straight on the call.
Do you work on commercial doors?+
We focus 95% on residential. We do service small-commercial roll-up doors for property managers in our service area — call and we’ll let you know if your door is in our wheelhouse.
