The Difference
Why clients refer us to family.
You Talk to the Attorney
Every case has a lead attorney whose direct cell goes on your file. You don’t play phone tag with a paralegal trying to get a real answer. Calls returned within 24 hours, period.
Honest Case Assessments
If your case isn’t strong, we tell you. If settlement makes more sense than trial, we tell you that too. We’d rather lose a fee than take a case we can’t win for you.
Clear, Written Fee Agreements
Contingency, flat fee, or hourly — every engagement starts with a written agreement that spells out what you pay, when you pay, and what you get. No surprise invoices.
Local Court Knowledge
Davidson, Williamson, Rutherford, Wilson, Sumner — we’ve practiced in front of these judges for decades. We know the clerks, the local rules, and the tendencies that shape outcomes.
Common Questions
You probably want to know.
How much does a consultation cost?+
Initial consultations are free for personal injury, family law, and estate planning matters. Business litigation consults are $250 and credited toward your retainer if you engage us. We’ll tell you upfront which applies.
What does ‘no fee unless we win’ actually mean?+
On personal injury cases we work on contingency — typically 33⅓% of recovery if settled before suit, 40% if a lawsuit is filed. You pay nothing if there’s no recovery. Costs (filing fees, expert witnesses) are advanced by the firm and reimbursed from settlement.
How long will my case take?+
Personal injury: typically 6–18 months from treatment completion to settlement. Uncontested divorce in Tennessee requires a 60–90 day waiting period. Probate runs 6–12 months in most counties. We’ll give you a realistic timeline at consult, not a sales pitch.
Do you handle cases outside Nashville?+
We’re licensed in Tennessee and routinely appear in counties across Middle Tennessee. For cases outside our region we partner with local counsel — you still get our attention, with a local attorney handling appearances.
Should I talk to the insurance adjuster before hiring you?+
We strongly recommend you don’t give a recorded statement until you’ve talked to a lawyer. Adjusters are trained to lock in statements that limit your recovery. The free consult is exactly so you can ask these questions before making a mistake.
