The Work
What we do every visit.
— 01 · Mowing
Mowing at the Right Height
Cut at the height your grass type actually wants, with blades sharpened weekly and the pattern alternated so the turf does not lay over. Bermuda, fescue, and zoysia each get treated differently.
— 02 · Edging
Edging and String Trimming
Hard edge along drives, walks, and curbs, and trimming around beds, trees, fences, and the mailbox post. This is the part most services skip, and it is the part that makes a yard look finished.
— 03 · Blow
Blow Down and Cleanup
Every hard surface blown clean before we leave: driveway, sidewalk, porch, and patio. No clippings tracked into the house and nothing washed into the storm drain.
— 04 · Bed
Bed Maintenance and Mulch
Bed edging, weeding, shrub trimming, and seasonal mulch refresh. Scheduled separately from the mow so it does not slow the weekly route down.
Your yard has a fixed day on the route. Rain moves it to the next dry day and you get a text, not silence. Knowing when the crew comes is the single thing customers say the last company got wrong.

What sets us apart
Why Chattanooga homeowners stay with Sixteen Blades.
01
A Day You Can Count On
Your yard has a fixed day on the route. Rain moves it to the next dry day and you get a text, not silence. Knowing when the crew comes is the single thing customers say the last company got wrong.
02
The Same Crew Every Time
The same two people cut your yard each week. They know where the sprinkler heads are, which gate sticks, and that the dog gets out if the side gate is left open.
03
Sharp Blades, Right Height
Dull blades tear grass and leave a white tip that browns by Wednesday. Ours get sharpened weekly, and we set deck height by grass type and season instead of running the same setting all year.
Frequently asked.
How much does weekly lawn care cost?+
Most city lots run $45 to $65 per visit for mow, edge, trim, and blow off. Larger properties and half-acre-plus lots are quoted after we measure. Biweekly service costs slightly more per visit because there is more growth to cut. We bill monthly for the visits actually completed, so a month with four cuts costs more than a month with three.
Do you cut in the rain?+
No. Cutting saturated ground ruts the yard and tears the turf, so rain pushes your yard to the next dry day on the route and you get a text telling you the new day. In a wet stretch that can shift the whole week. In peak growth we would rather cut a day late than leave tire ruts you will be looking at until next spring.
Do I need to be home?+
No. Most of our customers are at work when we come. We need access to the back yard, so if there is a locked gate we will need a code or a key, and if there is a dog we need to know its routine. If anything blocks access on a service day we will text you rather than cutting only what we can reach.
Do you handle fertilizer and weed control?+
Applying fertilizer and weed control requires a Tennessee applicator license, which is a separate credential from mowing. We work with a licensed applicator and can coordinate the schedule so treatments land at the right point in the season rather than the day after we cut. We will tell you plainly what your lawn actually needs and what it does not.
What happens in winter?+
Growth slows in November and most lawns move to every other week or pause entirely until spring, depending on your grass type and the year. Leaf cleanup runs through the fall, and we handle bed work and shrub trimming in the dormant months. Your spot on the route is held over the winter so you are not starting from scratch in March.
