Premium American-made walk-in tubs from Kohler, Safe Step, and American Standard. Most installations completed in a single day with our 1-day install option (existing tub out, new walk-in tub in, plumbing connected, demo cleaned up). Tub-to-shower conversions also available.

CAPS Aging-in-Place Assessments
Whole-home aging-in-place assessments by a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS). We walk every room with you and a written report identifies fall risks, accessibility issues, and prioritized improvements. Ideal for families planning for the next 10-15 years in a home.
The Difference
Why Triangle families trust us with their bathroom.
CAPS-Certified Designer On-Staff
Patrick Ellsworth, our owner, is one of fewer than 800 NAHB Certified Aging-in-Place Specialists in the country. CAPS training covers ergonomics, fall risk, ADA compliance, and the design choices that age well — knowledge most general bathroom remodelers don’t have.
Beautiful, Not Clinical
Our remodels look like beautiful magazine bathrooms — not hospital bathrooms. Brushed-bronze hardware, large-format porcelain, integrated grab bars that read as decorative. You shouldn’t have to choose between safety and a bathroom you actually want to be in.
1-Day Walk-In Tub Install
Our walk-in tub installation method completes most jobs in a single day — existing tub out, new tub in, plumbing connected, demo cleaned up. Compare to traditional 5–7 day installs that leave clients without a bathing option for a week.
Insurance & Medicare Documentation
Bathroom safety modifications can sometimes be covered by Medicare Advantage plans, long-term care insurance, VA grants, or HOA disability accommodations. We provide written CAPS assessments and medical-necessity documentation that carriers actually accept.
Common Questions
You probably want to know.
How much does a remodel cost?+
Walk-in tub installation alone: $7,500–$14,500 (1-day install). Tub-to-walk-in shower conversion: $11,500–$22,500. Full safety bathroom remodel (shower + grab bars + toilet + flooring): $18,500–$38,500. CAPS whole-home assessment: $485 (credits to remodel).
How long does it take?+
Walk-in tub: 1 day install (next-day showering). Tub-to-shower conversion: 5–8 days. Full safety remodel: 10–15 days active construction. Permits and material lead times: 3–5 weeks separate from active install. Written schedule provided at contract signing.
Will Medicare or insurance cover it?+
Standard Medicare doesn’t cover bathroom remodels. Some Medicare Advantage plans cover up to $1,500–$3,000 in safety modifications. Long-term care insurance often covers a portion if there’s a doctor’s order. VA grants (HISA, SAH) can cover qualifying veterans. We help with documentation.
Can you do this without making it look like a hospital?+
Yes — that’s the entire point of CAPS design. Brushed-bronze grab bars look like towel bars. Curbless showers look like spa showers. Comfort-height toilets are nearly indistinguishable from standard toilets. Our remodels appear in regional design magazines because they’re beautiful first, accessible second.
What if I just need grab bars installed, not a full remodel?+
Yes — we do standalone safety installs. Grab bars properly anchored to studs (or solid blocking installed if needed): $145–$285 each installed. Comfort-height toilet swap: $485–$685 installed. Anti-scald valve upgrade: $385–$585. Most safety-only visits are completed in half a day.
